City of Stamford The City of Stamford is the third largest city in the state of Connecticut and the sixth largest in New England. Known as One Great City, Stamford’s population is ethnically, economically, and culturally diverse, and is inclusive of many religions. The City of Stamford web site offers numerous links to online resources for citizens, businesses, and visitors alike, moving government beyond the walls of the City Hall and into the 21st century.

Stamford Public Schools The Stamford Public Schools (SPS) system aims to prepare each and every student for higher education and success in the 21st century. The district is comprised of 16,000 students, 1,500 professionals, and 20 schools, including six magnet and two International Baccalaureate schools. SPS has a total of 13 elementary schools, five middle schools and three high schools.

The work of the Stamford Early Childhood Collaborative is made possible through major support from Stamford Cradle to Career and the United Way of Western Connecticut.
